Big Block Games's "Goblin War Machine" is a fun little flashgame that invites you to pilot the titular war machine over various human landscapes, crushing and shooting all in your path; over time, you upgrade your machine with all the necessaries to accomplish greater feats of crushery.
I had a (Ral Partha?) D&D miniature called "Goblin War Machine" once; it was once of the most expensive figs I ever bought, and it took forever to paint and glue, and was absolutely worth it. I only wish I had it now, to pass on to my spawn. Goblin War Machine -- the game -- combines the thrill of big, crushy war machines with the upgrade fun of Car Wars and similar games. It's pretty awesome.

TMZ reports that Miss Cleo is dead at 53. The TV psychic, also known as Youree Harris, was famous for the character’s faux-Jamaican accent and the bizarre Tarot-themed advertising campaigns exhorting Americans to call in for a reading. You couldn’t fool Miss Cleo, went the catchy 90s’ tagline, but the entertainer could not fool the […]

DOPECITY!!
simple but effective and really fun.
almost lost a morning to this.
Crashes my machine repeatedly – have a care
Looks-wise it seems Patapon and Limbo had a baby.
Just tried the game out. Delightfully macabre. Dangerously addictive.
Fun game, but the placement of the ad that links to the other games is terrible. If you move your mouse just a little too far to the right, you’re done.
highly addictive, needs some tweeks
i RELEY DONT WAN TO SAY THIS…
BUT I HAVE TO NOW.
Hey Cory . I worked for a summer at Rafm in Cambridge,Ontario and I totally remember that mini ! Best job I ever had…
Ral Partha made the best lead figures. I not only had their undead war machine but a large skeletal dragon and a huge “tiamat” multiheaded dragon. The only problem with the large multipiece figures is that lead surfaces don’t glue well and soldering would destroy any detail around the joint. They were always fragile and easily knocked apart.
That’s why I always would drill in the two parts , use a paper-clip as a pin, then glue with epoxy and THEN use green putty to blend it in. Wow, I love mini’s…wish I had more time…but yes I remember lifting the molds and remarking how much heavier they were with them filled with lead.
I hate you, this is addictive !!!
Fun! Though I can’t seem to figure out how I see what achievements (blocks) I am missing. Also the currency comes a bit slow for the cost of chassis…I’ve redone a ton of maps and I still only have a few of them and not all of the sub parts either.
The multipliers should multiply your kills too; perhaps that would help.
I agree. I’ve gotten gold on almost every level (having gone back to them) and would still be few thousand kills away from getting all the upgrades.
Maybe the plan is to have more levels? It doesn’t quite seemed finished anyway — nothing that says “yay! you’ve defeated all the levels!” or anything.
Great game. Fortunately there wasn’t much expected of me at work today…
Holy cow, a Car Wars reference! That game ruled my childhood. It’s a shame it never turned into anything more.
It turned into Autoduel and Carmageddon and Twisted Metal and a whole lot of other video games.
Wow, a Ral Partha reference. I had almost forgotten about the company. Just had a flash back to the golden age of RPGs.
With respect to Car Wars, I wish someone would do a proper update to Autoduel. The engine used in GTA or Red Faction Guerilla could be a decent base for it, since they handle on-foot and vehicular modes reasonably well.
Nice game, got all the achievements, all levels gold…no ending I guess, you just keep on going through the maps.
WSDA ? People with a non-qwerty around the world says “screw you and your game” to the programmer.
