A friend of mine had a bit of ancillary Mr. Peabody ephemera from the time of the original show that spelled the name of the machine WABAC â€” which made it a better joke name for a giant computrola of the time, I always thought.

The Etoys ad made me think of the HOURS I spent scanning that site for new Star Wars action figures when I was 19. I wish I had that kind of time now…

A beta? It’s been around for years …

The term ‘beta’ has just been adopted for use on things that don’t work very well, rather than genuine pre-realeses.
