They are chanting...."You are sons of dogs and unbelievers." and then they say "Hosni Mobarek shut up. You are the dogs of the country."

This is murder and the Mubarek regime has been robbing, murdering, torturing and humiliating its own people for 30 years. Finally, the brave Egyptian people have had enough.

Pray for them in their struggle for freedom.

However, it still causes pain and forces the sublimation of anger and sorrow into creative expression.

Word. Too many people in the US are stuck in the typical authoritarian mindset. They just assume that the police are the good guys and that anyone who doesn't blindly follow their orders is asking for trouble.

...and another US State Department supported dictator shows his true colors. did you know it's your tax dollars paying for those bullets?

why is obama so silent? why is the US, who kept this monster in power for so long, going to stop looking the other way? where is our cry of "democracy for all" now? are we just aiming for the moral low ground now?

this is not just an egyptian fight, this is also our responsibility.

For some reason reminds me of this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oUkiyBVytRQ

The Egyptian "police"-thugs, of course, are taking police brutality to a higher level -- murder.

The principle, however, remains the same: state-empowered thugs in uniform, immune to the law, stomping their boot on the face of the people they agreed to serve. Do not make a mistake, when the people in the U.S. take to the streets on a significant scale, there will be men and women in uniform who will "follow orders" and commit murder from the comfort of their uniform, car, aircraft, drone control station.

What we're seeing is not "their problem," it's ours.

There's no They.

That is not a police officer it is a criminal in a uniform. The people over there should round up all of these criminals and lock them up.

mojoesque: This is the most popular chant that Arabic-speaking protesters use world-wide.

Arabic:
Yasqut, yasqut, Hosni Mubarak!
Yasqut, yasqut, Hosni Mubarak!
Amn El-Dawla,
Amn El-Dawla,
Anto kelab El-Dawala!
Anto kelab El-Dawala!
Yasqut, yasqut, Hosni Mubarak!
Yasqut, yasqut, Hosni Mubarak!

English Translation:
Down, down, Hosni Mubarak!
Down, down, Hosni Mubarak!
"Amn El-Dawla"
"Amn El-Dawla"
[This is the name of a special police force who work directly for the goverment. The same ones who are accused of looting/setting fires/being pro-Mubarak. They have been paid to do these things in hopes of making the true protesters look bad.]
You are the dogs of the government!
You are the dogs of the government!
[Basically meaning that they blindly follow government orders, even if it means committing crimes against the very people there are supposed to be serving.]
Down, down, Hosni Mubarak!
Down, down, Hosni Mubarak!

Hundreds of injuries in the streets, deaths, cars running people over. I'm sad to say that this video seems less shocking to me after seeing even worse incidents like http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_cWOK0Lfh7w&skipcontrinter=1

or this:

In neither case did it end well for the perpetrator. Hopefully that will be the case here.

1. That made me sick to my stomach. I am enraged at the thought that Western governments continue to back Mubarak and his thugs.

2. The difference between soldiers and police was made clearly evident in Cairo this week. Disciplined soldiers have had an infinite reserve of patience when dealing with lunatic despots in the government, and frustrated protestors in the street. They have stood guard in a manner that has put the actions of Western security forces during G8 and G20 summits of the last decade to shame. The police, on the other hand, have been behaving like typical police, carrying out the majority of the brutality and violence against their own fellow citizens.

Soldiers protect. Police oppress.

When the revolution comes, it's the army you want on your side, not the cops.

These criminal Policemen will finally face justice, when the revolution is achieved. They will never return back to their normal lifes. They can just hope, that the Egyptian People will abolish the death penalty.

A sign of things to come. When was the last time you saw a US cop use a turn signal? Or get a traffic ticket even when off duty? This same casual disdain for the law by the law occurs here same as in eqypt, the lack of punishment when our cops taze, beat or shoot innocents, is what will look just like this when eventually Americans stand up for the rights being stolen from us.

Remeber, most countries consider our law enforcement to be among the most corrupt in the world.

Egypt today, the US tommorow?
