Imma let you finish, but "John Oswald's Angle" is the greatest mashup of all time.

While I am legally unable to testify as to the audible content, I can however attest to the utter gorgeousness of the vinyl edition!
180 grams of orange goodness in a wonderfully designed gatefold sleeve.

Imma let you finish, but Angle (while great - it' s one of my favorite Oswald tracks) isn't a mashup, per se. It's a cut-up of a single song, not an amalgamation of more than one song.
Furthermore, I submit the argument that ECC's Whipped Cream Remixes were the first ever Mashups.

Y'know, I would've thought that this album being the first to come with a EULA would've had Cory writing about it first for sure...

Oh, and it's worth mentioning that the EULA/Listener License Agreement is a mashup too -- we collaged it from the EULAs of Apple iTunes, Microsoft Office, Nullsoft Shoutcast, and Creative Commons ccMixter.
