10 year old extols his 3D printer's virtues

In this Ignite Phoenix talk, young Schuyler St Leger, a 10-year-old 3D printer hacker, explains just why he loves his kit-built Makerbot 3D printer, and explains how your 3D printer might transform your life.

Why I Love My 3D Printer

  1. That’s so awesome. No matter if he did all that him self or not that was great. Now I want a 3d printer…

  2. As leadership in the local hackerspace Schulyer attends, I can confirm that he very much did all that himself. He is a brilliant young man and frankly prints us parts to keep our 3d printers running.

  3. That kid needs to be in a TV spot. Think of how many kids would be begging their parents – who’ve probably never heard of 3D printing – for a MakerBot!

  4. Best childhood ever!

The audience is probably laughing in support. But not everything was intended to be a joke. Good thing the kid took it all in stride.

  5. This is great, but it looks like his name is misspelled in the post (see his first slide — it’s Schuyler, not Schulyer.) Probably means a lot to a 10-year-old kid.
