I had this record for a long time, I sold it for a very good price. They are like Strawberry Alarm Clock but with a much more serious, polished and professional sound, still totally freaky though!

My God, they are JUST getting some mention now? I've been digging them for years. Nothing's Boy is creepy as fuck.

Their live album is a masterpiece of the era, give them a try.

And some sandlewood incense.

Their version of "Wayfaring Stranger" is darkly psychedelic and highly recommended. They made a series of ads for Ban Roll-On using essentially the same riff in a different key. Hear them in their natural habitat:

You have no idea how far this takes me back. I'd love to see some love for the United States of America too. (I refer here to the band, not the nation.)

Oh! that's what Niel Gaiman was talking about in Shogoth's old Peculiar when he said "H.P. Lovecraft? Weren't they a rock band?"

Now I get it.

Oh man, this is probably my second favorite forgotten 60's rock band!(JF Murphy and Salt, anyone?) I second the recommendation of their "Live May 11, 1968". It is WAY more intense than this video, or their two studio records. Several of their songs are based on Lovecraft's fiction, too.

I also second the rec on Nothing's Boy. It must be my favorite of their studio tracks, because it's the only one I have ripped from my dad's LPs.
