I just hope that someday, for some reason, Frances McDormand plays Judge Judy in a Coen Brothers film.
This is one of those things that wants to set me off on an interminable rant. She should’ve been sanctioned and pulled from the bench many, many years ago. So should any of those audience-pandering daytime TV judges. So should the many judges who behave like this, to varying degrees, behind the doors of courtrooms where there are no cameras.

She’s not a judge. She’s an arbitrator.
You… you do realize she is no longer an actual judge, nor are any of the others (Alex, Joe Brown, Peoples Court, etc).
Its TV, man.
They find people in small claims court and have them sign up to be on the show. Both sides get paid a fee to appear (so even if you ‘lose’ you come out ahead).
They are still real cases, and as an arbitrator, her decisions are binding. There are real-life arbitrators as well.
It might be the case that a little humor in our government might cause the right decisions to get made more often (you know, instead of “The guy with the most money, and Absolute Seriousness, wins every time.”)… because too much of anything (humor or seriousness) is damaging…

Unwatchable she is.
She looks like a gorilla in the first one. She has gained more poise over the years. I watch her once in a while. But the people on her show tend to be just a few steps up from watching Maury Povich and etc.
