Some ~~nameless,~~ awesome individual named Ricky Reich undertook "80 hours of shovelling" and made this insanely fun, elaborate "Snowman Slide." The video is thrilling work, with lots of different angles to show off the wicked fun and the great craft on display in this winter marvel.

Looks like two different slides, or perhaps the same slide in two different stages of development. Either way, this is magnificent.

I want to see the blooper reel … like people going over the edge or hitting the tunnel entrance …

It looks like in the beginning the kids are rather sliding a figure 8 … while the grown ups are doing an oval … might either be that they changed the slide … or … different weight = different effect …

Are you guys using FlashBlock? Vimeo.com’s embedded videos seems to block Flash videos if FlashBlock is on/enabled. :(

Does anyone else often have problems playing embedded YouTube videos here at Boing Boing? I’m on a Mac with the latest version of Flash (10,2,152,26) and Firefox (3.6.13). I can see the YouTube video, but the play button is unresponsive. YouTube works fine everywhere else.

  No problem with YouTube (and I have the same specs that you do) but I’ve been finding that a lot of embedded Vimeo videos have playback issues.

    My comp’s FF/Ubuntu & it hates embedded Vimeo too.
    On topic, I want the snow to come back now.

  Same here. You have to hit the play button just right. I bang on the mouse with my dominant hand (which is not my usual mouse hand) and usually I can get it to “catch” just right after about 10-15 seconds, and then the embedded YouTube will play.

  I get this too, and my guess is it’s an issue with too many embedded flash apps showing up on the main page, because it only seems to happen when there’s a lot of embedded videos.
  
  Usually opening the story in a new tab “unlocks” the video and I can play it. Opening the story in the current tab doesn’t work.. no reasonable guesses why. I guess once a tab gets busted it stays busted?
