    I prefer these: http://lunatik.com/

I don’t own a Nano, but I now want to get one specifically to have a LunaTik. That is awesome.

Corporate marketing items for women = Pink-it-n-shrink-it

  • kasmeneo

As some women already said, sexist marketing sucks. I’m a guy and I like pink. And purple. And flowers. If I wanted an iPod Nano I’d buy exactly this one.

  • Sam

Apparently, as a dude, I’m not allowed to wear pink stuff. Well, up yours. I’m not a cow or a tool and I’ll wear any color I want. BTW, the fact that girls like it when dudes wear pink is actually a plus.

  • Nightflyer

Here’s another woman who DOESN’T like pink, and finds coding items “pink for girls” and/or “floral for girls” stereotypical and condescending. A smaller-sized version of an object is one thing (especially something like a watch band), but I wouldn’t touch a pink gun or a floral screwdriver on a bet.

..though I must sheepishly admit, I might select purple items, because I *do* like purple. In an object like this one, I’m more likely to choose black or white–neutrals–to coordinate with more outfits. Still, as feltmountain said, having the earphone wires dangling off my wrist would get annoying real quick… and I don’t own an iPod. *shrug*

  • jdixon

    Make mine an ipod.

  • Seraph

Damn, I was so excited to click through and see an iPad-sized watch band.

    Go go gadget gaffe!

  • Lupelu

Thank you! We never seem to have enough pink stuff.

  • feltmountain

The black and white one look unisex enough to me, what’s the point in narrowing your product demographic?

  • feltmountain

Thinking about it having the headphone cable trailing from your arm would be annoying as hell, unless you were wearing a long sleeve top and had it running underneath.

  • Mark Crummett

    Cause chicks dig pink stuff.

What a crappy knock off of TikTok: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1104350651/tiktok-lunatik-multi-touch-watch-kits

    • Muse

What? I added Scott Wilson’s very stylish Tik Tok and Luna Tik watches to submitterator months ago and this cheap plastic junk makes it on the site?

Does making stuff pink “for girls” really work? As a man, I’m mystified. It always seems so condescending to me. I remember seeing these dainty “floral” tools at a hardware store and thinking women would be offended. I showed them to my mother-in-law and she said she liked them. I guess I don’t know what’s good anymore.

  • DoctressJulia

    I fucking hate pink.

When will these idiots stop being so damn sexist? Now I’ll never buy one.

    • Anonymous

Ditto. How about something, designed for women, that’s NOT PINK???

  • DoctressJulia

    I fucking hate pink.

    Sexist marketing FAIL.

    • cinemajay

But there’s also one in purple!

  • emmdeeaych

Gee………Men making things they think women like. Most women I know wouldn’t be caught dead wearing a pink ipod whatever. Nor would they ever wear a pink baseball hat, especially one for the Red Sox!!!!!!!!!!

  • Anonymous

Just because it’s pink doesn’t necessarily mean that women will want to use it.
