I couldn't even imagine being expected to wear these things as my mother was ruining her feet after a few decades with the airlines mostly tending computers. Fortunately my wife is pretty tall and shapey even without heels so I suppose I found a way to cheat the whole high heel thing, but seriously it is more fun having a partner who can make a run for it if needed than having to carry her over your shoulder. I had only seen the <a href="http://kobilevidesign.blogspot.com/2010/04/kobi-levi.html">bubble gum</a> shoe before. I had no idea he was so prolific. I love humor and playfulness in design. So much of it can be oppressively serious, with designers taking themselves way too seriously. The "form follows function" crowd seems to overlook the importance of objects that simply delight beyond their apparent use. I am glad there is room in the world for a broad spectrum that ranges from pure function to whimsy. Very amusing and creative. I had only seen the bubble gum shoe before.
