Hopefully now that it’s been posted on BB, he’ll bring more to MoCCA; stuff like this sells out fast.

    How much is it anyway?

  2. idontwant2liveinoprahsworld says:

Is that Yeoman Rand in the top row with the pony tail?
    This geek-love is unsettling.

  3. dotsandlines says:

Well done. Took me a few moments to recognize the smoking remains immediately to the right of old Admiral McCoy. hah!

  4. Hanglyman says:

Wow, they even have the smoking torso of that guy who got his head phasered off in the first season! Remick!

    This guy! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kaDk6cYgtTo

Prices are useful things to provide to those who would want to purchase things.

Who is (#205) the bald old man wearing purple in the Voyager row next to Naomi?

  7. GregS says:

Nice, but I’m going to wait for the sequel to this poster, the one with 235 of the red shirted guys who got offed in various episodes of the original series. It’ll be even better if Dr. McCoy is saying “He’s dead, Jim” next to each one of them.

  8. johnfoster says:

    no NOMAD!

  9. johnfoster says:

oops. never mind. NOMAD is on the second row underneath the Gorn.

  10. Nadreck says:

Intruder Alert! Isn’t that robot on the second row from the bottom Satan’s Robot from “Commander Cody”? WTF is he doing here?

    • Tichrimo says:

That would be the robot from the ST:VOY ‘Captain Proton’ episodes. (I loved watching the old Flash Gordon serials on TVO as a kid, so I loved those eps, btw.)

      • Nadreck says:

I hadn’t realised that they’d resurrected that Republic Serial robot for the TV show. Did they also have Commander Cody’s “Worst Ergonomics EVER!” jet pack with the “left-right”, “up-down”, “faster-slower” dials?

    • Antinous / Moderator says:

Did you notice that that whole section is in grayscale?

Absolute favorite: L’woxanna Troi’s valet (name escapes me…my Trek-Fu is not what it once was). This is some serious geek catnip.

    • fr4nk says:

      This is chock-full of win.

      @ #36: Mr. Homn.

As a “Trekkie,” I admit I fell asleep during the latest movie.

  12. Jake0748 says:

    Which one is “Guy”?

    I know, I know…

  13. Strabo says:

Who’s the grey-haired dude between the Pakled and Borg Queen?

  14. Anonymous says:

Yay Porthos! My own Beagle’s name is Riker.

  15. Anonymous says:

    mind = blown

  16. Mister44 says:

Where’s Han Solo? How could they forget Han Solo? They have Greedo.

  17. canisson says:

#205 bald old man wearing purple I believe is probably the holographic EMH when he went to *insert planet name here* and lived out his “life” with the native inhabitants who never knew his true identity. He became a famous musician I believe….need more Voyager and DS9 re-runs!

  18. juepucta says:

Digging Khan v.2′s pecs. Not sure i would have included the repeat Worfs, Siskos, Kirks, etc – but i am liking this. One thing though, do Trekkies really hate the recent movie so much? They’re missing.

    • Anonymous says:

[cue comic book guy voice] Cleeeeearly they aren’t. First character on the seventh row is Shinzon, the previous character is his lieutenant-dude.

    • sapere_aude says:

What new movie? There hasn’t been a Star Trek movie since Nemisis in 2002. That’s my story, and I’m sticking with it.

On a somewhat more serious note, I’m somewhat embarrassed at how many of those characters I recognized at a glance without even having to put any thought into it. I have no social life.

  19. narddogz says:

    Those are fantastic!

They look ready to be dropped right in to a new Lucasfilm SCUMM interface Star Trek game.

  20. Anonymous says:

How can you have Bele without Lokai?

  21. Strabo says:

The right side of the sixth line from the top looks like it has a few characters from the TNG films. I see the Borg Queen, Zefram Cochrane, Lily, some dude from Insucktion, and Ron Perlman’s Reman Viceroy. I think the first character on the next line down is supposed to be Picard’s clone in Numbesis. Back on the sixth line; the Duras sisters were in the show primarily, but they also appeared in Generations. So that’s eight characters from four movies.

  22. Strabo says:

Oh, I’m really REALLY disappointed that they didn’t include Kang, Koloth, and Kor from DS9. I’m betting that’s them as the first three characters on the second line from their appearances in TOS, but they should have been back with face ridges for their episodes on DS9 (Blood Oath is a fantastic episode and one of the best of pre-Dominion War DS9).

  23. skeletoncityrepeater says:

I’m sorely missing the alien dog with a horn on its head from ‘The Enemy Within’, and any male officer wearing a ‘skant’ from the first few Next Generation episodes.

  24. Antinous / Moderator says:

Is that The Other Dax between Morn and Keiko?

  25. mrclamo says:

I was pleased to see the characters from the animated series making it! One of them is the 3-legged dude in the top row, and also the cat girl next to him. STTAS has cheap animation, but good stories. It rocks!

  26. Strabo says:

Oh, hey, that’s another addition from DS9 they needed. All the earlier Dax hosts (most of whom popped-up in the series in one fashion or another, if I remember correctly).

  27. Strabo says:

So, when (and where) do we start the crowd-sourced annotation process to name all of these characters?

Oh, I see there’s already a contest from the artist to name them all and win a free copy of the poster for the two people who guess the most characters correctly.

  28. skeletoncityrepeater says:

Also, no sparkling glowing entities of any sort, and no Black and White Captain Pike from the original reference print of ‘The Cage’??

  29. Antinous / Moderator says:

Who’s to the left of Nachayev?

  30. owza says:

2nd row down, 5th in. Are they kling-ons?

  31. Anonymous says:

No black tar creature that killed Tasha Yar?

  32. Anonymous says:

I haven’t seen this answered before, so I’ll ask it here. Paramount owns the copyright to Star Trek and its characters. Would a work like this need to be licensed from Paramount or not?

  33. grimc says:

Aww, all that pixel goodness but only on an 8.5×11 sheet?

  35. BrendanBabbage says:

I’m impressed. Such a variety of recognizable characters in such a limited set.

I’m also glad no “Neo” star trek…

  36. lava says:

no Abe Lincoln! Gosh dern it.

  37. jimh says:

I was hoping Picard’s head would be a little pointier.

  38. Lobster says:

OK, I’m not really a fan or anything but I think it’s stretching it on the “cat,” “dog” and “chinchilla,” and kind of ridiculous with the “pile of assorted cookies” and “hardening lava.”

  39. Bubba says:

This just makes me amazed at the pattern recognition abilities of the brain. Very well done.

  40. Crispinus211 says:

I love it, but I wish it were larger: website sez it’s only 8.5 x 11.

  41. endymion says:

    Is Janeway really that short?

    • sapere_aude says:

According to IMDb, Kate Mulgrew is 5’5″ (1.65m). So, just eyeballing the image, her height looks about right to me. Of course, the fact that they’ve got her between two relatively tall characters makes her look short by comparison.
