I was not expecting that kind of crazy when I criticized that blog post, but I guess it was written exactly as intended.

I think it is a crime that my medication costs over $400 a month, which you all pay for.

I grew up with a very wealthy father, living on top of a mountain in a house with a guest house, etc, with a beautiful view of St. Thomas’ main harbor, where submarines, aircraft carriers and the QEII would sit off my front porch, literally. I wish I could post three of the pictures I have online, here.

A now Rear Admiral when he was just a captain of an F14 squad on the Nimitz, would stay at our house when the Nimitz was in town. It was great as a 13 year old to get a private day long tour of the Nimitz, and not only be allowed to sit in the captain’s chair, but being told “don’t tell anyone, but you can sit in my F14.”

Ever seen the green flash? It gets kind of passe after seeing a few times, because your view over the two hills far off is unblocked by anything beyond it.

I truly am grateful for what I have, and I can say I am more at peace than I have ever been in my life.

It seems one hears a lot about radios in people’s heads, since about 1920 or so…that must really suck, if you cannot turn it off, or at least change the channel.

I developed a good, mutually respectful relationship with a very intelligent doctor who has believes in many ethics, and more importantly, a strong set of morals, over ten years.

Not too long ago, he told me that he had to say this in person to me, and said, “I am leaving the medication clinic to work directly with emergency mentally ill patients at such_and_so_hospital”

This killed me. I knew I would never see him again, and gave him a hug. I almost cried. He tried to console me by saying, “Hey, maybe you’ll get locked up there and I will see you again!”

My new doctor, a typical idiot psychologist, and trust me, I don’t know how many I have seen, treats me like an idiot psychopath. I may be a psychopath, but I am not an idiot.

My old doctor and I worked out a regiment of medication over those ten years. The first thing this new guy says to me, is, “Dr. ________ has an unorthodox regiment of medication for you. I am going to change that.”

I will comply with what he wants, and not try to manipulate him, because I don’t want to jepordize my SSDI/Medicare/Medicade.

If he realized I was trying to manipulate him, I understand that he is the type of person I would have to immediately, and ruthlessly, beat into the ground – and no, jail does not concern me, I’ve been there plenty of times for a good amount of time.

Hell, I got the chance to build my own cell, that I sit in isolation right now, with my only outlet being my computer and the Internet.

I don’t like this, but I will live with it.

“that kind of crazy” is what you are capable of, and more than likely you will see in someone you care about go through that in your life.

You have no clue as to what the psyche is.

This ^^^^^^^ is why I won’t bother to take the time to write a book about it.

I am in no way mocking any legitimate mental health issues Dzonatas may have. I’m quite used to terrible writing skills from perfectly sane people who just don’t put the time in to write coherent, logical pieces and instead just spew out whatever comes out of their head and say “that’ll do,” regardless of if it makes any sense to anyone else. There is a definite difference between clinical disorders and just not being able to communicate a clear line of thought, and I’m well aware of this. I was referring to the latter, not the former. If I’ve offended you, I apologize.

As far as not knowing what the psyche is, my gender-dysphoric partner with dissociative identity disorder may disagree with that. But, feel free to retain your first impression of me.

It’s only Sarah Burns’ statement that allows people to make claims about her mental state, not the action she took. It’s a very strange world where the actual attempt to destroy a Gauguin is only noteworthy for a comment made by the perpetrator that they have a radio in their head.

Recently he had a mural about labor history removed from the Department of Labor building. He may not have rushed it himself, but his attack was more successful (in the short term) than Sarah Burns’. He actually got it down. Afterward, he may not have blamed it on a radio in his head, but he did claim that the mural was propaganda, like you’ll find in “communist North Korea, where they use these murals to brainwash the masses.”

I think it’s important to remember that when we laugh at quirky stories about mental illness, in an age of halogen lights, we’re simply whistling in the dark.

How do we judge the actions of the mentally ill? Are they responsible for their conduct? If they aren’t, isn’t that stripping a person of a great deal of their humanity? I think so.

Mentally ill people have to learn to cope, and compensate for their debilitations, same as anyone. They also need to be held accountable for their actions… even their unintentional humor.

“Normals” wake up every morning, and their brains snap back to normal.

A sleep study, one that studies brain waves, would reveal abnormal sleep architecture.

We all need normal sleep architecture, to remain “sane.” Someday, doctors will come up with something to correct abnormal sleep architecture.
