I'm a direct descendant of Lord Brunker, Pepys' favorite backgammon partner. OK, I know there's Bunker Hill and Archie Bunker (a TV show that was popular 30 years ago) which causes confusion about my surname, but Pepys didn't have those distractions, so why did he have to spell the name differently for each journal entry?
