I watched this a few days ago. Could not take my eyes off the screen. Inspiring. The "This American Life" short was the first I heard of this man.

Channel4 in the UK aired a documentary about Hogancamp just last week, 'Village of the Dolls'.

http://www.channel4.com/programmes/village-of-the-dolls/episode-guide/series-1/episode-1

Sounds suspiciously like this documentary, can films like this be 'rebranded' and shown under different titles?

Thanks for this post. I recorded it and have watched it twice since. Would have missed it if not for your post.

And to GaryG above, they re-title lots of things in different countries. US film and tv titles are often re-branded (some several times) in the US if the owners think a new title will resell it here. It often happens when copyright ownership changes hands.

You can also support Mark and Marwencol by donating here
http://www.marwencol.com/donate/
You can call or email J & J Hobbies the Mom and Pop store which Mark shops at.
I like to think that some where in Marwencol there is a doll with the likeness of me. Hahaha. Anyways, I couldn't think of a better way to show my appreciation and interest in Marks work by giving a little donation to his righteous cause.

As someone obsessed with building scale model WWII aircraft, I fell in love with Hogie's work, but I found the doc left me with lots of unanswered questions.

One of my favorite photos: http://www.marwencol.com/gallery/2011/1/1/the-rescue-team.html
