As always, it's a great mix of sites you know and love, and probably quite a few you've never heard of before. Special congratulations to longtime BB pal Scott Beale and Laughing Squid for winning the People's Voice award for the best cultural blog! 15th Annual Webby Awards

Er, “Best Practices” Webby goes to Dropbox? This Dropbox: http://boingboing.net/2011/04/21/dropboxs-new-securit.html ?

  • tyrsalvia

Yay! I actually registered for the Webby stuff so I could vote for Laughing Squid. Scott Beale really deserves this award. He’s been aiding and abetting underground culture for at least 15 years, and has been a huge supporter of the freaky arts community. Many congratulations to Laughing Squid!

  • phaedral

Blatant favoritism, sure, but any web awards list that fails to include bb really doesn’t count for much with me. Or did I miss something?

    • David Pescovitz

Thanks, Phaedral, but we won a couple Webbys back in 2005! : )

Go go Laughing Squid! Like BoingBoing minus comments and the posts are always about happy/fun things. Also a great hosting service (see http://www.laughingsquid.net
