From Business Insider: "The New York Times will announce at noon today that managing editor Jill Abramson will become the paper's first-ever female executive editor, beginning in September. Bill Keller, the newspaper's current executive editor, is stepping down to return to writing."

      Agreed. Though I wish Ms. Abramson luck, even if she wants to pivot away from Villagerism and he said/she said, the NYT as an institution won’t turn on a dime. “It’s not made by great (wo)men.”
