The technology that links taxonomy and Star Trek

Have anyone ever gone extreme-meta and did a Downfall parody where somebody has to break the news to Hitler that in the twenty first century he will become a viral sensation and the subject of endless, inter-changeable parodies about the most random subjects?

  • ackpht

    Sort of.

Lou Reed and Metallica kept the name decades after they lost what made those names awesome.

I was entertained to the end by the above linked Hitler-meme thing, but I was unable to make it through 20 seconds of the White Light / White Heat youtube gave me afterward. The original is one of the best songs in the world, just tickles me down to my toes, but this version just leaves me better off being dead.

It’s like I turned on that New York station and couldn’t believe what I heard at all, it was like pulling teeth after a crash course in brain surgery.

Well, you know what they say, you’re going to reap just what you sow. I think to get Metallica back in gear would require some sort of metal militia; why are they doing this? Why? they do not know..

    You better hit her.

  • deliciouseggbert

Metallica with Lou Reed should be interesting, but this video was freaking hilarious!

  • querent

Dude. That got dark at the end.

But that shit was motherfucking funny.

    “Your name is fucking METALLICA!”

…and the website…http://LouTallica.com is now live. Check out the video. Really cool. Hope the song makes it on the album.

I lost all respect for Metallica when they covered Love Machine

After a very bad day this made me laugh very hard..

Ok, I was thinking how sick I was of this meme and this being the umpteenth millionth rehash of this bunker scene but I have to admit the captions are hilarious.

  • Bubba

Proves yet again that Hitler was a dick, Lou makes everything great. However Slayer are awesome so I guess even dictators fuck up, generally by invading Russia. Risk teaches us so much.

    Props to Eddie Izzard.

Good point. One of the issues I raise in my fantasy novel “Adolf Hitler in Oz” is that evil men always fail — one reason is the point Bubba makes, that they underestimate their opponents.– Sam Sackett

I died a little bit inside after watching the Metallica & Lou Reed concert from 2009…

      • Glippiglop

Indeed. If you went back in time to the 80′s and showed fans that vid, would any of them truly believe that the greatest metal band of the decade could be reduced to this? I don’t know how even the most steadfast fans manage to stomach it today.

  • karthikophobia

This video is spot on. I never thought I would agree with Hitler!

  • glamaFez

I spit a mouthful of dirty martini when I read the word “bro”.

  • Anonymous

Mein Fuhrer successfully translated to “Bro…” Awesome.

For all those who say that Metallica is dead I say this. Maybe load and re-load were not very metal. But if a brand new band would have made those 2 albums in the 90′s people would have said how great that new band was. St Anger was a pile lol. Death Magnetic is a good album its not puppets but then again what is. If you were to make a top 20 list of the best metal records of all time it would be very hard not to have at least 3 of there first 4 records on that list if not all 4. I saw then in Indio with the Big 4 concert and they kept up with the other bands just fine and I would say they were the best of show possibly beaten out by slayer. The vid talks about Megadeth…they have 6 best of albums. How can a band still making music have 6 best of albums and not be called sell outs. However as much of a fan as I am I LMAO watching this. If the Lou Reed stuff sucks it sucks….they still have 4 of the best metal records ever and they can still play the hell out of a live metal show.

  • Ipo

Didn’t work for me, I had the sound on.

Who is dragging Lou Reeds good name into the company of both Hitler and Metallica?

  • Anonymous

    this is perfect!

  • Anonymous

If they’d done “Black Angel’s Death Song” or “Sister Ray” it would have been magical, but “Sweet Jane?”

  • MacBookHeir

Sorry, I could handle only about 20 seconds of this. A little bit of Hitler humor goes a long way…

    • timquinn

“Sorry, I could handle only about 20 seconds of this. A little bit of Hitler humor goes a long way…”

OK, thanks for the clarifacation. I have made a note in my journal.

  • zyodei

Metallica has been dead to me ever since the Napster debacle 10 years ago.

They fired an opening salvo in the “war on the consumer” that has marked the RIAA’s efforts to sell more schlock.

They’re a bunch of money grubbing whores. Fuck them. They didn’t make anything good after the black album, anyway.

    • Cowicide

Haha… you sound like Hitler still going off on them in part II of the video.

  • Zagrobelny

Man, Hitler had bad taste in art AND music.

  • caesar female

Very funny. Lou Reed and Metallica are jumping the shark.

  • Cowicide

Ever since James started with the “Whoah… whoah-Aa-whoa…” singing bullshit, Metallica has been pretty much dead to me. It also doesn’t help that I found out James is a dumbass who’s amused by the fact that his music has been used to torture prisoners.

But, I’ll still crank up the kick ass Garage Days Revisited album on occasion.

  • Wickedashtray

    These never get old…..

  • ill lich

Note he mentions Yankee Stadium and points to Berlin on the map? Evil Empire indeed.
