When everything is coming your way, you’re in the wrong lane.

90 seconds into the first track, and I have to say: Hell. Yes.

  • edi

Max Tannone is *SO* rad & a really nice person as an extra added bonus.

edi, the same praise applies to Ghostface Killah. I did sound for a show with him and Method Man & Redman several years ago. (Those guys were so great I’ve already forgotten who the headliners were.) After the show, I told him about a young friend — big fan — who couldn’t make the show due to illness…and he gave me a slip mat, signed several photos right there, gave over a piece of vinyl, and a few other baubles. What amazed me was the reason I saw him post-show, to be able to ask him for goodies — he found me, to tell me how much he enjoyed the monitor mix. Unheard-of consideration!

(What a gas that concert was…the head of security was a new hire, ex-FBI. While the crew was setting up the stage, she remarked to me on the prospects of her officers being able to make a few busts in the parking lot; “hippie hunt,” they called it. I’m an old fart white guy who sacrificed his ears to Zappa-era rock’n'roll, but I’m not totally out of touch…my jaw dropped. “Ma’am, you’ve got Method Man & Redman due up on this stage. At some point in their act, they’re gonna pull out some big fat blunts and invite the audience to join[t] in. Are you really prepared to bust the entire crowd?” Fortunately, she wasn’t ;-)

Thanx for the link, David — great stuff!

Well, being a Mos Def fan and Dub maniac, I actually moved straight to the Mos Dub, as this is the first I ever had it, and so far it is F***ing amazing! I’ll definitely be checking out the other stuff on the site immediately afterwards.

Save bandwidth for the website and you’ll probably get it much faster too.

It’s currently says zero peers on pirate bay, but there’s 3 of us seeding it right now. You get the entire album in the fraction of the time it would take to get it from the website (and saves them bandwidth to boot)
