In case the photo above fails to inspire you BB readers, do follow the 826 Michigan link; those people are doing great things (and deserve any help you can give).

826michigan is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting students ages 6 to 18 with their creative and expository writing skills, and to helping teachers inspire their students to write.

826michigan is proud to provide 100% absolutely free one-on-one drop-in tutoring for students ages 8-18, really. Free. No kidding.

Thanks for highlighting my bots and this fantastic organization! 826michigan's Robot Art Fair is a great way to raise extra money for their work, and I'm honored to be included. The bots were not made specifically for 826, but are available for purchase through their shop year 'round as well.
You can also find me on etsy, and at shows and markets in the Ann Arbor/Detroit area, next up Maker Faire Detroit at the Henry Ford July 30/31st.
Thanks again! -Deanne

Live around these parts long enough and you learn to simply avoid the Art Fair as much as you can. This is a detriment to a project like 826 Michigan. I'd humbly suggest they apply for the Shaddow Art Fair next year. Less traffic, but more geeks who may be a bit lubricated due this smaller art fair being held at a local brewery.

Awesome robots, but I'm utterly biased. I'm always nervous about creating artwork for charities. The closest I've come is creating a custom robot cat for a ASPCA charity.
