What a great appreciation for Calvin and Hobbes: a little street art of the pair sliding down a public stair-railing. calvin & hobbes (it's summer holidays....) (via Neatorama)

I write books. My latest is a YA science fiction novel called Homeland (it's the sequel to Little Brother). More books: Rapture of the Nerds (a novel, with Charlie Stross); With a Little Help (short stories); and The Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow (novella and nonfic). I speak all over the place and I tweet and tumble, too.

Good god, do the French see a different spectrum of light than the rest of the world? Dark grey text on a slightly less dark grey background?  That is complete insanity.

Agreed!  Art is great.  Blog post completely unreadable. Perhaps 50hz electricity makes a tube monitor show this with more contrast?

This is two thirds awesome and two thirds win.

I know that Bill Watterson doesn’t usually dig re-appropriation of his work. But since this one is both well-done and respectful (it isn’t some obscene joke and captures the whimsy of the original), it’s pretty sweet in my book…

I imagine Calvin and Hobbes here are debating the humidity problem…just before they plunk into the water!

Wait until Mr. Brainwash sees this.
