Flickr user Sharkhats commissioned this beautiful Portal 2 Space Core cake from Mike's Amazing Cakes of Seattle as an anniversary treat (having been married with a fabulous Katamari Damacy cake).

I write books. My latest is a YA science fiction novel called Homeland (it's the sequel to Little Brother). More books: Rapture of the Nerds (a novel, with Charlie Stross); With a Little Help (short stories); and The Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow (novella and nonfic). I speak all over the place and I tweet and tumble, too.

My friend just got married last week and his cake was from Mike’s. I told him that since he was getting it from this place, it should be shaped like a Star Destroyer or something. Alas, it was merely wedding cake shaped. Nevertheless, I can attest to the fact that it was delicious.
