UK riots: Manchester police "embrace" social media—"We said we were coming for you!"

Manchester Police have been using social network to help them in their crackdown against looters and rioters, and publishing the results through the same media. Tweeting "We said we were coming for you!", the Greater Manchester Police linked to the video above, which shows Assistant Chief Constable Garry Shewan leading a team of officers making an arrest as part of Operation Valant, "the Greater Manchester Police operation to bring those responsible for recent large scale disorder in the region, to justice."

Below, one of many videos uploaded by eyewitnesses of the looting and chaos earlier this week in Manchester. This video was recorded Tuesday, and the unrest lasted four days and nights, with some 2,000 youths reported in the center of Manchester at the peak of disturbances.
