Compton-native rapper "The Game" pulls Twitter prank on Compton sheriff's station. Sheriff: not amused.
"The Game" tweets the phone number to the sheriff's station in his native Compton, CA. Phone calls from many of his 580,000 Twitter followers flood the station, crowding out "legitimate calls about a missing person, a spousal abuse incident, two robberies and a stolen vehicle." The tweet has since been deleted, but it invited interested fans to apply for a music internship with the law enforcement office. The Compton sheriff's office is not feeling the lulz, and may press charges.
