The Sound of Young America

I recently guest-hosted Jesse Thorn's "The Sound of Young America" radio show and podcast, and my guest was British comedy writer and internet prankster Robert Popper. You can listen to the show here.

Robert is a BAFTA-winning comedy writer and producer who is responsible for the very funny BBC mock educational series Look Around You (with collaborator Peter Serafinowicz) and now, the creation and writing of the BBC America series Friday Night Dinner.

Above: Robert Popper, L, in character for Look Around You with Peter Serafinowicz.

Boing Boing editor/partner and tech culture journalist Xeni Jardin hosts and produces Boing Boing's in-flight TV channel on Virgin America airlines (#10 on the dial), and writes about living with breast cancer. Diagnosed in 2011. @xeni on Twitter. email: xeni@boingboing.net.

But did you record it at your house, Xeni? May as well ask what are Xenis. What are Xenis? Nobody knows.

Look around you. Look around you. Just look around you. Have you worked out what we’re looking for? Correct. The answer is … comments.

Hey, Xeni! I couldn’t understand the name of the Japanese group which makes Look-Around-You-like videos… I’m interested, what’s their name? Thanks…
