2nd Mechanicrawl in San Francisco, Saturday September 24, 2011

Austin Brown of The Long Now Foundation says:

In appreciation of the many fine and astounding mechanical wonders located along San Francisco's North Short, Long Now invites Bay Area locals to temporarily re-take the neighborhood from the tourists for the second-ever Mechanicrawl. Geeks and gear-heads alike will be pleased to find giant steam engines, turn-of-the-century automata, mechanical computers, and analog planetaria right in their own backyards.

You can start your crawl at any of the Attractions; map your own route for the event and spend as much time at each location as you'd like!

We encourage you to walk, bicycle or use public transport for Mechanicrawl. You can map your crawl prior to embarkation or on the fly with a smartphone.
