I always wanted to be the dad from "Have Spacesuit, will Travel" and raise my children by the system of "benign neglect". Sadly, this has proved impossible, due to the intolerance of American society in general and the US school system in particular. If you don't impose stupid and otherwise unnecessary restrictions on your children they are likely to be harshly punished.

...the late eighties taught me that the best treatment for toxic-waste burns is to drive a car right through the victim.
I'm looking forward to this.

My mom actually read Wertham's SEDUCTION OF THE INNOCENT and took its dire warnings to heart. She forbade comics in the house as we were growing up. She wanted to protect us but it didn't stop me from bringing in issues of HERBIE and DOOM PATROL and reading them under the covers at night with a flashlight. Which, somehow, improved the experience. Somewhat oddly she didn't mind MAD Magazine.

I like it. My parents were similar in that they let me do pretty much as I pleased with only a few corrections here and there. Looking forward to your work.
