  • snagglepuss

    Yep. That’s just about right.

  • Mark_Frauenfelder

    A beautiful distillation!

  • Moriarty

You guys know there is no such organization, right? Sometimes it’s hard to tell.

    • sincarne

No, we all think that ducks and dogs talk. Thank you for clearing this up.

    • Mister44

Who paid you to say that?

      • Moriarty

You got me. I’m an undercover operative of the Illuminati/global Jewish conspiracy/secret 1%ers club.

        • Mister44

Can… can you put in a good word for me? I can shill with the best of them.

    • Nadreck

I thought it was called “The Republican Party”.

      • Moriarty

        inb4 “500 people liked this.”

    • bob d

You guys know there is no such organization, right? Sometimes it’s hard to tell.

You mean “Occupy Houndsville” doesn’t exist?!

    • http://twitter.com/Applemask_ Matthew Harris

No such organization as what? Occupy Wall Street? The Republican Party? International capitalism?

      • Moriarty

        “No such organization as what?”

        Rich people.

    • jarmstrong

Correct.  Whatever organization this guy belongs to simply does not exist.

  • durfsmurf

This is more well-written than the Lucky Ducky ones about money supply and stuff like that. Regardless of whether or not you agree with it, it’s a good comic. Although the punchline could be a little better, I think the metaphor of H. Hound being “hit” by Ducky should have been stronger, like him clutching his chest and falling. “ow, right in the feelings”

    • http://twitter.com/Applemask_ Matthew Harris

I get your thinking, but the lameness of his response is the whole point of the joke so I don’t think it would have helped.

    • http://evilbobdayjob.blogspot.com/ Deidzoeb

      “ow, right in the feelings”

Sorry, durf, but leave the comedy to the professionals.

  • Gary Peare

More spats in comics! Also, more accurate depiction of spats in comics. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spats_%28footwear%29

And the 1% just keeping getting richer and richer, by leaps and bound over the rest of us.
New CBO report:  Their income grew by 275% from ’79 to ’07  during the same period it was 40% for the middle class, and 18% for the poor….

He missed the last panel, in which the houndsville cops drag him from his seat and beat the sh-t out of him. #oo = Occupy Oakland

  • Recluse

Why doesn’t that lazy Lucky Ducky just get a job????

….after all.. he has a big BILL to pay (Badumbum).

    • Navin_Johnson

The job market isn’t what it’s quacked up to be…

Wow, only one conservative complaining that BoingBoing dares to publish a cartoon strip with a liberal bias…that’s got to be some kind of record.

    • Moriarty

It seems like you must be talking about me (unless some other comment got deleted), but I’m not a conservative and that is not my complaint. And it’s not really complaining so much as teasing.

      • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_MLAKC2J76NFB64XLSLUKEHF4J4 Daniel

Sorry, must have misinterpreted “you guys”.

  • xenphilos

It’s funny that conservatives are generally against welfare except in the case of a bailout, which is corporate welfare if you simultaneously consider corporations as people.

  • jackbird

I’m just astonished that TTDB actually contained humor for a change.

Those dogs should be wearing spats… and monocles.

  • benher

Look, can someone clear something up for me once and for all?
Just like in Duckburg… I mean, you know… Can dogs and ducks breed together?
I mean, Mickey has a dog and his friend is a dog… Ruben, as the defacto heir to the style, can you or perhaps Percival Dunwoody answer? (in comic form?)

“Can dogs and ducks breed together?”

Breed, as in successfully create children, no.

      Recreationally . . . well, there’s this place downtown . . .

  • charonme

why not mention the most powerful tactic: “lobby for more regulation, keeping potential competitors out of the game” ?
