A cute couple is getting married in Zuccotti park this morning in New York City. Have fun occupying a happy future together, kids. Here's a photo of the bride, and here's the "sacred space." Here's the ring. @Newyorkist says, "Friends of couple inform they met here at spiritual circle months ago. Emery and Micha. Being married by NYU chaplain."

    I hope it was a blood-free diamond.

Will the OW encampment still be there for their divorce?

    • Cowicide

I don’t know, maybe focus on your own relationships instead?

  • rtresco

The something blue will either be the boys in blue, or subsequent bruises.

  • Ian Rennie

I don’t know what happened to that photo but I love it.  Looks like something from the Year Zero ARG.

  • Prank Call of Cthulhu

WTF? Did the cops give them a “wood shampoo” first? Is that blood?

  • PhosPhorious

This will be something to tell their grandkids about.  Seriously, I wish them all the best.

Weird the amount of hostility surrounding anything OWS.  Are there that many people out there (BB readers even!) who are so jaded or so entrenched in the status quo that you would begrudge even an idealistic wedding?  Sad, sad, petty little people.

That you’re too young to vote

    They say you’ll swallow anything

That they shove down your throat “

In some ways, the worst enemies aren’t the Big Bads, but the little crabs of hopelessness, trying to pull every one trying to climb out back down into the bait bucket they so miserably inhabit.

        A Pratchett reference?

        • http://www.arkansawyer.com/wordpress/ John A Arkansawyer

Not intentionally, Hannah. (Somehow, I’ve never gotten onto Pratchett. I must rectify that someday, as he sounds like a hell of a hoot of a writer.) I was thinking of this: Crab mentality. Is that in line with the Pratchett reference you thought I was making?

The dead hate the living. You’re talking about people who see no reasonable chance of ever mating with a member of their own species.

I’m assuming by “reasonable” you mean “while she’s conscious and breathing”.

  • whowantstoast

Hmmmm. Occupy the Future. I like that – I’m already there with my tent.

  • snowmentality

Seriously — what’s with the photo being all messed up from their shoulders upward? It looks like it’s been unintentionally half-superimposed with another photo, and their faces are partially obscured. At first I thought it was just my browser, but it isn’t. I can has non-corrupted image?

  • PhosPhorious

Proof of their idiocy resides. . .  where?
