Dominated by Microsoft? I thought MS had to basically be browbeaten into joining back in the day. I think it may even be BSA that had MS introduce the more stringent license checks like WGA, even tho ol’ Gates was more then happy to let people copy Windows as that meant they where not looking into alternatives.

This is interesting. I’ll bet Symantec wouldn’t do this. I still remember how they let Sony bypass their software and install malware on their customer’s computers.

Odd; I thought the BSA had backed off SOPA ( http://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/news/2011/11/even-the-business-software-alliance-now-backpedaling-on-sopa-support.ars ). Guess they haven’t backed off enough.

The rest of the BSA should note: Kaspersky Lab is getting good publicity cheap; all they had to do was drop out of the BSA & oppose cutting off their nose to spite their face. Seems like a no-brainer.
