Kevin makes beautiful hand-painted matrioshkas illustrated with whimsical, pop-culture figures. I really like this movie monster set, which features Godzilla, King Kong, Frankenstein's Monster, Dracula, Wolfman, Zombie and Mummy.

Movie Monsters Russian Dolls (Set of 6) (Thanks, Kevin!)

I write books. My latest is a YA science fiction novel called Homeland (it's the sequel to Little Brother). More books: Rapture of the Nerds (a novel, with Charlie Stross); With a Little Help (short stories); and The Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow (novella and nonfic). I speak all over the place and I tweet and tumble, too.

Cute, want one! But where is the zombie?

    • Marktech

The set with the zombie is here.  I’m not sure that zombies would on average be likely to be bigger than mummies.

Edit: it could of course be a mummified cat, but I wouldn’t describe a mummified cat as one of the Great Movie Monsters.

The zombie was eaten by the wolfman, I guess.

I helped on a project two years ago from london based creative agency Pocko called Pockoshko. We had all our artists create similar style dolls, with some really great results! Here s some info http://www.pocko.com/case-studies/pockoshko-dolls-case-study.pdf
