My son and I were looking at volcano videos on YouTube and got a chuckle out of this (faux) "European Railways" commercial.
European Railways commercial? Are you kidding me? First, there is no “European Railways”. Second, it’s not a commercial. Do you really think that is how European commercials look? Like 1960s Soviet childrens’ animations?
Yeah…European Railways is not a real company.
Here’s a SNCF (French national railway company) commercial : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_DMXUbJcqPY.
They’ve got a bit more of a budget than that :p (but, sadly, not as much imagination…and not much ability to run on time, either. But that’s another problem).
As others have said, there’s no such company as European Railways and the cartoon is clearly Russian – the first sign on screen reads: ”
Iceland, the volcano Eyjafjallajökull”
I have no idea where the thing is originally from, but perhaps it’s just made by the uploader?
Yes, I was trying to be funny. Clearly failed.
Well, I loved it.
Ah well. The video is funny, though.
My Russian is practically non-existent, but I’m pretty sure the words are NSFW.
The video at the end says in English subtitles, “Use European Railway Companies for safer travel” The word ‘company’ is pluralized.
Neat cartoon, creative.
