Bonsai fairylands of Takanori Aiba

Takanori Aiba's bonsai and epoxy fancies are beautiful, gnarly fairylands, full of whimsy and perfectly weird.

I write books. My latest is a YA science fiction novel called Homeland (it's the sequel to Little Brother). More books: Rapture of the Nerds (a novel, with Charlie Stross); With a Little Help (short stories); and The Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow (novella and nonfic). I speak all over the place and I tweet and tumble, too.

I remember bringing up the idea of creating 28mm-scale terrain using bonsai and my friends telling me it wouldn’t be possible. This has inspired me (and I can use it as a guide).

The treehouse reminds me of the one in Swiss Family Robinson.
