i tried this on my kid and he started blacking out. kinda freaky. depending on speed, i think this can ramp up to a lot G's fast. best is under the arms since dislocated elbows are common for kids (yes, i know kids who get dislocated elbows from spinning). heh, sorry to ruin all the fun.

Adults aren't much better. We'll allow ourselves to be poked and groped and abused at airports just to prevent the 1 in a billion chance that someguy from the other side of the world will want to blow your plane up. The obsession with security at all costs is out of control.

He is not making the baby fly. Clearly he is just trying to pull his baby back from the poltergeist that is clearly photographed in the left corner.

This man is a hero.

When I was 5 you couldnt pull me off my bike, when I was 12 you couldnt pull me off my dirtbike, I fell down fast and stood up harder and stronger. Every generation thinks/knows that the next is getting weaker and coddled. I brought a small/slow dirtbike to a group of family members and I couldnt get a SINGLE KID to ride it. The little worms were truly fearful of nearly everything, frisbees, footballs, soccer balls, bugs, rain, loud sounds, sunset, birds.....Not a joke sorry.

Seems this whole "SECURITY" thing has given to making parents and children afraid of damn near everyone and everything. "SEE ANYTHING REPORT ANYTHING"
Ill never understand why people will give everything they hold dear just to hide and be afraid. For instance, if I had a house full of $1000.-- guitars, and I was so worried about them that I sold them all to buy protection/alarms/dogs/guns/cameras. All I would be left with is a well secured lonely room.

I have a nice story...True story...
Im in a kitchen with about 10 adults, a 5 year old boy stands up on the chair and people start saying things to him. "get down" "youre going to hurt yourself" "wheres his dad"
Then the kid JUMPS way off the chair and people start slightly over-reacting. Then his dad enters the room and people tell on the kid, the dad takes one look at the chair and says "yeah but can you jump off the counter?"
Which the kid promptly did a few times while a few fools rolled their eyes as if the father was in the wrong.

What are you raising?

I still see plenty of dads do their with their one-year-olds. I don't think overprotective coddling is necessarily universal even now.

Good to see a time that people didn't treat babies like babies.

So much of our legally mandated cottling strikes me as a little much. To legally require baby seats in cars is a good example of this, in my opinion. And yet we can all ride on busses, babies included, without even the presence of seatbelts...

More impressive than the act of flying is the general lack of motion blur! (though I guess distortion of his legs is significant...)
