Last week, in the comments for a review of the Wool 1-5 Omnibus, commenter Jon recommended Hugh Howey's full length novel Half Way Home.

Jon described it as:

"Fantastic author. If you like Wool, make sure you read his full length novel, Half Way Home. He describes it as Lord of the Flies meets Alien."

I grabbed it and read it this weekend. It was just as engaging and hard to put down as Wool. In a future where countries compete by colonizing planets, one AI out of hundreds changes the rules and wakes some of its vat grown colonists 15 years too early. With the teenaged colonists half trained and unprepared tragedy ensues.
