Gweek 042: Man vs. Mycotoxin

By Mark Frauenfelder

Gweek-042-600-Wide

Gweek is a weekly podcast where the editors and friends of Boing Boing talk about comic books, science fiction and fantasy, video games, board games, tools, gadgets, apps, and other neat stuff.

I was at the TED2012 conference in Long Beach last week, so I didn’t have time to record a regular episode of Gweek with the other Boing Boing folks. So this week, I’m running an interview I recently did with Dave Asprey, a very interesting guy who has spent the last 15 years experimenting with ways to "hack his own biology." Dave experiments with supplements, sleep techniques, medical devices, fasting and dieting, and other things to improve his physical and mental health. You can find out more about him at bulletproofexec.com.

If you enjoy Gweek, please rate it in the iTunes Store -- thanks!

  1. Mark, I didn’t realize you were at TED. I was presenting at the BIL Conference next door this weekend; would have been great to hang out in Long Beach!

  2. Dave, FYI… I got as far as the Mercola quote.

You may as well post an endorsement from David Icke.

“Exercise does not make you lose excess fat; it makes you hungrier. ”
Funny. I started exercising regularly a few weeks ago and experienced the opposite of what this guy claims. So do other real people who attend the same gym.
But hey, surely this guy surely knows better, since he has been “consuming countless thousands of research papers” and has “helped countless people “Is “countless” considered reliable data now on BoingBoing ?

Would you please consider posting a link to your MP3 each week for easy downloading?  Maybe I am “old fashioned” but I do not want a lot of programs on my computer and prefer to just download MP3s versus having Itunes etc. Sometimes your weekly show has a link and other times, it does not. When it does not, I have to look at your source code, copy the URL for the MP3 then email it to myself so I can right click the link and download it.  Cumbersome process that could be eliminated  by a simple link on your page please.
