Is this your perception of early adopters, or is this what you’re like yourself?

Everyone I know that’s going to rush out to buy an iPad 3 will do it purely for their own glee – and will more likely than not protect it from daylight for at least a couple of weeks.

You’d be asking every major electronics manufacturer in the world; and realistically Apple would be pretty low on the offenders list.

They are very important questions though – but not ones that should be brought to light because there’s space on the bandwagon.

I agree with your original sentiment though – this is a press release for a new product – it’s unusual that there are even press representatives present; most companies just send out an email. I think Mat’s a little confused.

Um, I just checked to make sure nothing had changed for me since a day or two ago, but I am not seeing any problem with iTunes radio streaming. Not saying that there isn’t a problem, as you say they know about it and are working on it. Perhaps it only affects a small percentage of users, though, which can have a real impact on the devoting of resources to solve an issue.

Apple has how much money now? iTunes radio streaming has been offline for most users for two weeks. Only a very small number of categories have stations listed (classical, 80s, 90s) while the vast majority are missing. Apple knows about the problem but won’t say when it’ll be corrected, just that they’re working on it. Given their past history of pulling everyone off of other projects before a big product launch, I have to wonder if the ipad3 launch is causing the same havok with fixes for other products. That would be understandable for a small company but Apple is bigger than many nations. Time to get off that pile of money and hire enough help so that product launches don’t torpedo everything else.

The best thing is that the comments of the Gizmodo article are exactly the kind of tea leaf-reading the author was complaining about. Tech reporters calling themselves journalists is adorable delusion.

I cant wait to get an iPad3. Then I can make fun of all the losers who still have an iPad1 or iPad2.

That is the best thing about new Apple products… not that I know or even care if they work, but just being able to act superior to someone who doesn’t have the latest.

Then I have to get on the lookout for the iPad4 or iPadHD etc. so I can get it at least 15 minutes before everyone else.

The ongoing patent disputes and issues with the health of workers in China seem important and tough questions. I’d say ask them! Why wait?
