The Electronic Frontier Foundation would like you to know that this Thursday, Mar 8, is "Wear Your EFF Swag to Work Day" -- the day when you discover which of your co-workers are already clued in to the need to keep the Internet free and open and ensure that civil liberties make the jump from the physical world to the digital one. Kellie from EFF sez, "All day on March 8th, we'll also be watching #EFFatWork and retweeting notable EFF gear photos."

Would have been good if they announced it earlier, so that those without EFF gear already might have had time to get some… not that I have a job to wear it at. I do have a sticker from them around here somewhere.
To be fair, I think they did; I have a vague memory [the only kind, these days] of hearing about it a couple of weeks ago, and it’s in their Twitter feed from the 23rd February. That should have been long enough for USAians to get swag, not reliably for us UKians.
I’m not at work tomorrow, so I’ll have a “Wear Your EFF Swag To Tidy The House Day.” Not the same, I know.
Um. Also International Women’s Day which, under the circumstances of WTF is going on in the US, is probably at least as important. Maybe they could move theirs to Monday?
Hmmm. I could do the hat, but it’s too cool in Portland to wear a T-shirt.

You could have picked a better day than the currently-established International Day of the Woman, which at least in Norway – and probably the rest of Europe – dominates the media.
