HOWTO make rainbow-striped jello Easter eggs

Thrive's Nike has a recipe for making rainbow-striped jello Easter Eggs, using Kraft's "JELL-O JIGGLERS Egg Mold." She advises coating the mold with generous amounts of cooking spray, then using a syringe to add layers of color, chilling for 10-15 minutes between each layer.

I still remember fondly filling blown eggshells with liquid jello and letting them set in the fridge in an egg-carton, making "hard boiled eggs" that were filled with jello instead.

  about 1 in 30,000 eggs are contaminated with salmonella, removing the whites and yolk should reduce the risk even further, but it’s basically a non-issue that gone blown out of proportion.

    Plus, you could just (gently) rinse it out (well) with hot water.

      You could also drain the egg, beat it, divide it into little bowls, color the mixtures and put them back into the shells to be steamed. Voila, rainbow eggs made with egg.

i assume plastic easter eggs would work just as well as real eggs, the plastic ones you crack in half. just cut a hole in the top of those, pour in the jello. i will have to try it now.

We used to take the shavings from the crayon box builtin sharpener, then float them on boiling water, then drop in the (already cooked) egg. Take it back out with a spoon and you had a psychedelic multi-colored egg!
