In the podcast Mark mentioned Iranian movies, and I can recommend Delbaran ( http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0293082/ ) which I saw while being a volunteer gatekeeper at a community cinema. It was made in the Iranian deserts - gas station in the middle of nowhere, and a runaway Afghan boy - but swap Iran for midwest and Afghan for Mexican... it's kind of a universal story. And a great film!

Great episode! And honestly, the sound quality is tons better & I appreciate it. Also, Matt Haughey’s assessment of Mike Daisey was a pitch-perfect in it’s explanation of how I believe everyone felt when they heard the bombshell news that he lied about his Apple factory experiences. We all gave the guy a second chance upon hearing the news initially. That got eroded after the “This American Life” episode that explained what happened aired. That got eroded even more as he avoided ever admitting fault. And that eroded even more when he changed his story to basically one where he was begging Ira Glass to put it on the air at a live show.

LOOK! You lied… End of story, Mr. Daisey.

I had to view the Amazon link to find out what a plugbug is. As far as I can tell it's gear for those with too much money or too little sense. If you're charging your macbook on a wall socket all you have to do is make sure it's in sleep mode (not off) and it will charge your igizmo at the same time.

[Insert snide remark about noobs not reading the manual cos it's not available in the istore as an ebook]

I too loved John Carter (seen it twice now). Would really love to see a sequel, but that's not looking likely. I picked up the concept art book an Amazon and it makes a nice companion to the Marvel comics omnibus sitting on my shelf!

I just loaded the episode on my mp3 player. Sounds like a nice lineup.

I'm hoping to see A Separation next weekend. I loved the Iranian movies I've seen!
