No one really seems to have done it (which is why I'm doing it). Where the ideas of the Enlightenment are questioning tradition society and authority and then actually toppling it in the name of liberty and progress. I know I shouldn't complain about Books I Don't Read, but the first thing that came to mind when I read the description was <a href="http://www.salon.com/2002/12/17/tolkien_brin/" rel="nofollow">David Brin's essay</a> on <i>The Lord of the Rings</i>. The second was the Peterloo Massacre.  Bingo.
