Russian City Always On the Watch Against Being Sucked Into the Earth

That's the headline in the New York Times. Really, what more do I need to say?


  1. The Swedish mining town of Kiruna is currently in the early stages of moving its city center as the mine’s expansion is threatening the stability of the ground where it currently is. Most buildings will be demolished and rebuilt, but some of them, like the City Hall will be moved.

  2. Replace “Russian City” with “London” and voilá, you’ve got yourself a Dr Who episode.
