Well crap, there is sanity in the ranks…

Yeah, Neelie Kroes gets it.  She has something of a history of being suspicious of Microsoft too, if I remember right.

  3. Ashen Victor says:

    Eurocrat sounds horrible, really.

  4. Jon Worth says:

Bit tough using the derogatory term ‘eurocrat’, Cory. Kroes is one of the few allies we’ve got on this in Brussels.

    • It’s a historic, literal term. The derogatory nature of it formed over time, either way, she is by definition a Eurocrat.

Or would European Bureaucrat be better?

    • Daniel Smith says:

“Eurocrat” is derogatory in the same way “congressperson” is…it is an earned reputation. I’m always glad to see one of them do something that polishes the label a bit rather than confirm why the terms are now derogatory.

  5. “And I am committed to ensuring “No Disconnect” in countries that struggle for democracy.”
But everywhere else disconnection is A OK!

  6. Martijn Vos says:

Neelie Kroes is the only Eurocommissioner I regularly hear good things from/about. Also the only VVD-er, by the way.
