Inevitable, but very well executed, the "hologram" of Tupac (not an actual hologram, really a kind of Pepper's Ghost), matted into the "Help me Obi-Wan Kenobi, you're my only hope" sequences from Star Wars.

R2-D2's Other Message (Thanks, Fipi Lele!)

I write books. My latest is a YA science fiction novel called Homeland (it's the sequel to Little Brother). More books: Rapture of the Nerds (a novel, with Charlie Stross); With a Little Help (short stories); and The Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow (novella and nonfic). I speak all over the place and I tweet and tumble, too.

Really?  I thought Artoo Deetoo’s other .avi file in his video folder was “Intergalactic Proton Powered Electrical Tentacled Advertising Droids!”

I just loved the little exchange between Luke and Obi Wan at the end.

    Basically ‘What…. was that?’

Bringing a warning about the Def Star, no doubt.

Seriously, I was expecting this like Tuesday morning. It is here now to watch and never to unwatch it.

I really hate to be that guy, but the Tupac thing wasn’t a hologram. A hologram is: “a technique that allows the light scattered from an object to be recorded and later reconstructed so that when an imaging system (a camera or an eye) is placed in the reconstructed beam, an image of the object will be seen even when the object is no longer present.” (Wikipedia)

The Tupac demonstration was an example of Pepper’s ghost: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pepper%27s_Ghost

You mean like Cory clearly stated in his one-sentence post?

I think Youtube has it in for Andy Rehfeld. He had to move his Tupac hologram parody to
