Domino's Japan is giving away this nifty lightsaber cutlery with its otherwise undistinguished and unworthy pizzas.

Star Wars Special Set | TOPICS | Domino's Pizza (Thanks, Francesco!)

I write books. My latest is a YA science fiction novel called Homeland (it's the sequel to Little Brother). More books: Rapture of the Nerds (a novel, with Charlie Stross); With a Little Help (short stories); and The Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow (novella and nonfic). I speak all over the place and I tweet and tumble, too.

Hackers prepare for first "national holiday" in their honor

  • Raffaele Compagnoni

Kellogg’s is doing a similar promotion in Italy for the re-release of Episode One in 3D.

    Use the forks, Homer!

The truth is there is no spoon

  • Philbert

If you’re eating pizza, what good is a spoon?

    • Moriarty

       …or a fork?

      • penguinchris

I usually use a fork to eat pizza. It’s sacrilege to some, but it depends on the style of pizza – I wouldn’t use a fork in NYC for NYC-style pizza for example, but I usually go for something thicker if I’m not eating on-the-go.

  • marukosu

Actually, given it’s Japan, shouldn’t they have gone with chopsticks? Just as useless for eating pizza, but way cooler lightsabers!

  • MaximumOvertroll

Meh, the one that came in my cereal a few years back lit up.

If Darth Maul had carried a lightsaber shaped like a fork I might have found him frightening.

Japanese pizza needs a spoon for their crab roe, canned corn and mayonnaise pizza.

  • Marco Antonio Morales

I got a pair of light-sabre chopsticks for my birthday from my dear wife. They’re smooth and round, which makes it tricky to use in a practical manner, but worth the effort if only to watch the amused faces of my 5 and 7 year old daughters while I chomp down dinner…

  • sockdoll

So the fork and spoon will plug into each other, but will two spoons or two forks? I suddenly had an image of eating my breakfast cereal with a double-ended spoon, like a kayaker navigating white water.

Japanese eat pizza with a spoon?

Clearly, the weapons of Darth Ramsay.
