It would be nice if everyone read the New York Times and listened to the Nice Polite Republicans at NPR, but ... most people don't. If you're going to penetrate the (slumbering) consciousness of the American people, you need much more extensive coverage. You know, like we get for the Secret Service hookers scandal, or Hillary Rosen pointing out that Ann Romney never worked a day in her life.

Exceptions do not make the rule. But go ahead, make excuses for a judicial system that systematically favors the wealthy.

Given that it was the much-circulated, long-form cover story in the Sunday New York Times (last weekend or the one before, I forget which) and was a topic of length discussion on NPR (I don't know about other news sources), you may be misdirecting the blame for your not having previously head of it.

There's something deeply wrong when I learn about corruption inside Wal-Mart (not that I ever doubted there was corruption inside Wal-Mart, but this confirms it) from a comic strip before I hear it from any other source.

I was starting to wonder if there was anything for adults in the boingboing shop, but just as I type this, I see a "Darth Vader - Star Wars LEGO Adult Watch"! Case closed.
