Sure, I’d love to quit my day job and focus on my hobbies and things.
My problem is, the two aren’t much different, and only one of them give me money to do it! :D
You shouldn’t just quit your job to become an evil mad scientist! Doesn’t anyone read comic books anymore? True Evil Mad Scientist cred is only gained after 1. being scorned by fellow scientists, 2. gaining weird powers from a lab accident, or 3. having an archnemesis with a ridiculous costume. Don’t give up your day job without at least two of the three.
And a blog. You have to have an evil mad blog.
