On Meta

  1. I witnessed the librarian shushing other librarians at the Alabama conference. It was, indeed, pretty meta.

  2. He forgot to mention Douglas Hofstadter. I’m pretty sure Gödel, Escher, Bach was the major driver of the current cultural meaning of the word “meta”.
