He wrangled the opportunity to test a model in the wave tank at MIT. I came along to help, and took photos, which I still have. One of the great disappointments of my life came after selecting images and writing a short piece intended for WET, only to find that they had ceased publication just a month or two before. I still fully believe that my time in the wave tank constituted gourmet bathing, indeed... if only I had been just a little faster. The regret is still with me, these decades later.
