Myspace settles with FTC over broken user privacy promises

Today, the FTC
announced a settlement with Myspace, involving charges that the social networking service misrepresented how it protects users' personal data. The settlement "bars Myspace from future privacy misrepresentations, requires it to implement a comprehensive privacy program, and calls for regular, independent privacy assessments for the next 20 years."
