		<description>Viruses aren&#039;t even universally considered alive or even as being cellular like all other known lifeforms. Also how do you torture something which neither possesses a nervous system or the intelligence to interpret as pain or even discomfort, the information it would receive if it did have a nervous system. </description>

		<description>Obvious now... Successful nanotechnology would require self-replicating entities which arrange themselves naturally. They would need to be very simple, and maybe to be safe, not completely &quot;alive&quot;. Then somebody realized... darn! We already have something like that in nature!</description>
